Full Board Meeting Schedule for 2023-2024:
Many IRB applications may qualify for expedited or exempt review. Check the web page describing Types of Review or call the Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) for assistance.
Please note: The IRB cannot approve renewals more than 30 days prior to the expiration date. For Full Board protocols, this means that renewals are always assigned to the IRB meeting that is within 30 days of the expiration date, even if the renewal is submitted much earlier. Full Board Renew & Amend submissions are assigned to IRB meetings in same manner because of the renewal aspect. If a Full Board amendment is time-sensitive and the renewal is not due for quite some time, the HRPO recommends that researchers submit an amendment only (NOT Renew & Amend) such that the Amendment can be reviewed at the next IRB meeting. Please contact the HRPO office if you have any questions regarding Full Board submissions, especially if there is a time-sensitive constraint to your study.
Applications not requiring full board review are reviewed on a rolling basis upon submission of all necessary materials.
