What is RStor?
RStor is a cost-effective, mid-performance research storage option built on ZFS spinning disks and a flash cache in front. The system features snapshots and optional backups.
Who is it for?
It's designed for researchers who need reliable storage for data that does not have special security requirements.
How is RStor accessed?
RStor can be accessed in two ways:
- Via SMB on the UMass Amherst campus network or over VPN
- Through the Unity HPC platform
