An early modern map of the nile river and its delta

In addition to over 35,000 books related to the study of the Global Renaissance, the Center stewards 1500 rare books from the period, covering a range of fields including the History of the Book, Early Modern English Theater, English Literature, History of Art, Botany and Gardening, Humanism, Historical European Martial Arts, Biblical Texts, and Spanish Literature and Theater. The Center is also home to the Gillespie Collection featuring the works of William Shakespeare.
