'What Comes Next?' with Amy Hildreth Chen, Five College Faculty Seminar on Book History

How are literary archives being transformed by our current events? This talk will range in its exploration of traditional and digital archives to include: efforts to commodify cultural heritage through tourism, shortages in university funding caused by state divestment as well as COVID-19.

Amy Hildreth Chen is an independent scholar based in North Liberty, IA. Previously, she worked as an academic and special collections librarian at the University of Iowa and University of Alabama. She received her PhD in English from Emory University in 2013. Her book, Placing Papers: The American Literary Archives Market, came out this summer from the University of Massachusetts Press.
