Graduation Requirements and Deadlines
In order to graduate students must satisfy all academic requirements AND resolve all outstanding university obligations including any outstanding fees and all holds that prevent graduation by the deadlines below. Academic requirements include majors, minors, second majors, college and university requirements as well as Latin honors and certificates. CLEP exams must be taken before the first day of the subsequent semester and submitted before the clearance deadline.
Regulatory compliance requires the University report graduates no later than the following dates:
January graduation: March 15
February graduation: March 15th
May graduation: July 9th
September graduation: October 15th
If your academic graduation clearance and outstanding obligations are not completed by these dates you will be graduated from the University in the following graduation period. To check to see if your graduation has been posted on your transcript you can log into SPIRE and check the unofficial transcript to see if the degree notation is there.
If you have questions or concerns, please meet with Diploma & Graduation Services staff as soon as possible.
