The United Nations Sustainable Solutions Winter School 2025, a workshop and knowledge exchange program, will be cohosted by the School of Public Policy and School of Earth and Sustainability. The workshop, which runs from January 7-28, 2025, will focus on nature-based solutions for disaster risk reduction (Eco-DRR), climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and water security. It was cofounded by Marta Vicarelli, assistant professor of economics and public policy, and is in its third year. 

Students in the workshop will also have the opportunity to network with and learn from expert practitioners and scholars in the field. Classes for the school will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays while the workshop is in session and will compose of seminars, lectures, group discussions, and weekly assignments. Graduate students interested in participating should apply before the December 20 application deadline.
