UMass Downtown will host the “Politics & Policy” lecture and discussion series this spring, with scholars from the School of Public Policy and the Department of Political Science exploring topics including public opinion, human rights and digital government.
The conversations, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on April 22, May 6 and June 10 in the university’s new multipurpose retail, event and meeting space at 108 North Pleasant St. in downtown Amherst, are free and open to all.
‘Politics & Policy’ Lecture and Discussion Series Schedule:
- Tuesday, April 22 - Ray La Raja, professor of political science specializing in public policy and political reform and co-founder and co-director of the UMass Amherst Poll.
- Tuesday, May 6 - Charli Carpenter, professor of political science specializing in international law and human security and director of the Human Security Lab at UMass Amherst.
- Tuesday, June 10 - Jane Fountain, distinguished professor and director of the School of Public Policy, co-founder of the National Center for Digital Government.
The series is presented by UMass Downtown in partnership with the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the School of Public Policy and the Department of Political Science.
