This year, thirteen SPP students are completing Capstone projects to complete their Masters’ degrees. The Capstone gives students a chance to apply what they have learned in the program by writing a policy-focused article based on a quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method analysis of a policy- or administration-relevant question. Topics this year range from the impact of university religious affiliation on public policy programs, comparing state approval processes for offshore wind farm siting, and analyzing the impacts of the Biden Administration's Racial Equity Executive Order.
Students will present their findings on Tuesday May 9 and Thursday May 11 from 3:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Thompson 620 and the UMass community is invited to attend.
