Derek Krevat, MPPA-MRP alumni, was recently interviewed on New England Public Media on MassDOT’s vision for the future of transportation in Massachusetts in 2050. As the project manager and a key architect for the Beyond Mobility plan, Krevat describes the statewide, long-range transportation plan as a vision informed directly by the people of Massachusetts that allows people to better access opportunities ranging from employment, health care, visiting loved ones and recreation. The plan also addresses climate change resiliency. Krevat studied both regional planning and public policy while pursuing a dual master’s degree at UMass Amherst.
