Michael Ash, professor of economics and public policy, has coauthored a new study in Ecological Economics titled, "Pervasive racial and ethnic disparities in the U.S. petrochemical workforce." In the study, Ash and his coauthors found that people of color were consistently underrepresented among the highest-paid jobs and overrepresented among the lowest-paid jobs in the petrochemical industry in Louisiana.
