Brittany Houston, assistant professor of public policy, presented “Circle of Trust: Factors Impacting Police Officer Trust Orientation” and Rylyn Williams, doctoral student in Political Science focused on DACSS, presented “Algorithmic Decision-Making systems (ADMs) within Government Structures and Social Welfare Programs” at the 2024 Social Equity Leadership Conference (SELC) in Stamford, Connecticut in late June. 

Hosted by the National Academy of Public Administration, the University of Connecticut School of Public Policy, and co-hosted by the UMass Amherst School of Public Policy, SELC is an annual conference that "seeks to identify means of advancing social equity policies despite growing political divisions on diversity and equity matters." Conference photos, presentation slides, and the George H.
