Elizabeth Schmidt, professor of practice in public policy, has authored a new article in the Conversation analyzing the outcomes of a recent court case involving the National Rifle Association (NRA) and its former CEO, Wayne LaPierre. In the article, Schmidt describes some of the key results of the case, including Judge Joel Cohen's decisions to both deny the state the appointment of a monitor of the group and to ban LaPierre from having any role in the organization.
