In a new white paper released by the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the Future of Technology, Carolina Rossini and coauthors describe a technology design policy framework that centers sustainable and equitable economic growth, freedom, and innovation. The white paper, titled “Technology Design: Responsible Design for a Flourishing World”, provides details on fundamental considerations for technology policy design, policy recommendations, and proposals to be adopted by governments and their stakeholders.

Rossini, Director of Public Interest Technology (PIT) programs and faculty at the School of Public Policy (SPP), reflects on the report: "It was a privilege to negotiate with and work alongside thought leaders and real-world innovators from various sectors and corners of the world in devising strategies for better technology regulation processes. In this report, we investigate a series of outcomes that technology policy should aim to influence - with a specific focus on aligning innovation to the public interest - and enablers that can improve the process of technology-focused policy making."
