Carolina Rossini, professor of practice in public policy and director for programs for the Public Interest Technology Initiative, was recently awarded a research grant by the IBM Center for The Business of Government's Advancing Government Innovation initiative. Rossini and co-principal investigator Merve Hickok (Center for AI and Digital Policy) were awarded the grant for their research proposal "Human-in-the-Loop as Governance: A Practical Framework for Integrating Citizen and Civil Society Voice into Government AI Procurement and Oversight," which aims to create a "phased, actionable framework for integrating citizen and civil society participation into the full AI acquisition lifecycle."
