Bridgette Davis, assistant professor of public policy, was interviewed on WHMP about how Trump administration policies are impacting college students. The interview, which was aired on August 26, 2025, covers a variety of policy decisions and announcements made by the Trump administration, including financial aid, international student visas, research opportunities, and more.

When discussing changes to loan repayment policies, Davis states, "What we know is a lot of low income and working class folks, and especially folks of color, want to go back and work in their communities. So we're talking about strapping teachers, police officers, firefighters, social workers, people who are actually most engaged in a lot of our work that takes care of the rest of our society... with additional loan repayments."
