Brenda Bushouse, associate professor of public policy, and Charlie Schweik, professor of environmental conservation and public policy, were named Senior Research Fellows of the Ostrom Workshop at the Paul H. O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at the University of Indiana Bloomington this April. Ostrom Workshop Senior Research Fellows are scholars who have made extraordinary contributions to the Ostrom Workshop over an extended period of time via their scholarship, service, and/or mentorship.

The Ostrom Workshop at Indiana University began in 1973 and was established by Nobel laureate Elinor Ostrom and Professor Vincent Ostrom. Elinor Ostrom was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in Economics Sciences, primarily for her research demonstrating that individuals often overcome the "tragedy of the commons" by developing rules that allow them to share and maintain resources fairly.
