Join us for a dynamic and interdisciplinary seminar exploring how artificial intelligence is being used in social science research. This joint event will feature several short talks showcasing research at the intersection of AI and the social sciences. Whether you already use AI in your research or are just beginning to explore its potential, this seminar aims to offer useful lessons and a chance to connect and find future research collaborations.

We'll hear from Lauren McCarthy and Doug Rice (legal studies), Kevin Young (economics), Brenda Bushouse (public policy), and Virginia Patridge (CDSAI-data core).

The seminar will also highlight programming around AI in research on the UMass Amherst campus this year. Come learn about opportunities to collaborate with the Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CDSAI) through its incubator for grant development, explore teaching, training, and research resources available through the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) for incorporating AI into your own work or curriculum, and hear about exciting opportunities with the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR). All are welcome to attend!

Sponsored by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Computational Social Science Institute (CSSI), the Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CDSAI), and the Institute for Social Science Research. View the event website here.
