Research Position Description: We seek a doctoral or advanced master’s student with expertise in statistical analysis and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support a team of up to six master’s students collaborating with the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts for the School of Public Policy Workshop. This project involves conducting a service area assessment to analyze food assistance and equity data by census tract, municipality, and county to provide actionable recommendations for the Food Bank’s service improvement and food equity efforts. The assistant will guide the team in applying statistical models, conducting overlay data mapping, and developing both qualitative and quantitative insights based on survey data of volunteers, staff, and community members.
