Degree & graduation year:

MPPA, 2012

What I do:

I research employers to support union organizing and collective bargaining campaigns.

How I ended up working there:

I found a job posting on a list serve from a previous internship.

The best part of my job:

I love helping workers build their own organizations by providing them with powerful information that moves their campaigns forward.

How the School of Public Policy prepared me for my career:

A solid understanding of economics and the basics of financial management is something I use everyday. I think the program did a great job at teaching how to think critically of the policy process and the politics involved.

Advice to students considering a degree in public policy:

A degree is a great complement to work experience. Try to get involved in campaigns, government, or organizations to give context to what you learn at the SPP.
