Omer Yalcin is a Lecturer/Faculty Fellow in Data Analytics and Computational Social Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Social Data Analytics from Pennsylvania State University.
His research interests are networks of elite political actors, open data sources like Wikidata and their use in social science research, and social media. His current research agenda includes the study of kinship, co-mention, support, and other types of ties among politically influential actors.
