Chief Operating Officer, DRT Strategies, Inc.

What I do: Currently I am a self-employed, part-time consultant drawing on my 32 years of government and corporate executive management experience to advise small businesses on corporate growth and management strategies. My end objective is to coach my client companies to be “good contractors” to the Federal government and thereby contribute meaningfully to the fulfillment of federal agency missions.

As the Deputy Assistant Secretary/Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Department of the Treasury (2007-2010), I supervised the planning, development, and operation of the wide array of information technology systems and networks the Treasury uses to perform its financial management, regulatory, and tax missions. I directly managed a workforce of over 300 people and had responsibility for a budget of $3.2 billion. Prior to my role at Treasury, I had several executive-level positions at the U.S. Department of Justice.

As the Chief Operating Officer for DRT Strategies, I managed a workforce of 250 consultants who worked on over 20 contracts with federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control, Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
