The best part of my job:
My favorite part of my job is being able to meet the unique needs of the higher education partners we serve.

A recent exciting work experience:
Over the last few months, my focus has been on researching faculty burnout, resulting in the publication of an expert insight titled "The faculty burnout epidemic: Thought leaders we are reading, listening to, and following right now." Additionally, I was invited to speak on EAB’s podcast to discuss the main factors contributing to faculty burnout. Recently, my team convened academic leaders to explore strategies for cultivating a workplace culture that combats burnout in academic affairs. Furthermore, I wrote another expert insight that provides four tips to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of behavioral intervention teams at colleges, titled "4 tips to improve your college's behavioral intervention team."

How the School of Public Policy prepared me for my career:
The skills I acquired from my MPP studies, such as conducting in-depth research, analyzing complex issues, and efficiently synthesizing information, were extremely valuable. Moreover, my internships not only allowed me to hone my essential skills but also enabled me to identify and work on areas that required improvement. Additionally, my prior job experience at the Secretary of State's Office equipped me with vital communication and writing abilities, as I was responsible for developing and distributing press releases, public statements, and talking points on behalf of the office. Ultimately, the combination of my master's degree, internships, and work experience played a crucial role in preparing me for this position.

Advice to students considering a degree in public policy:
I would encourage those considering a degree in public policy to challenge themselves and take risks. Public policy is an ever-evolving area, so it is important to be open to learning and growth opportunities. Also, build relationships with professors and peers, as they can provide valuable wisdom and support throughout your collegiate and professional journey.

Future plans:
Although I cannot predict what the future has in store for me, I am enthusiastic about enhancing my knowledge and expertise and leveraging innovation to drive outcomes.
