Faith Nussbaum oversees the administration of many aspects of SPP's undergraduate program and coordinates the advising for undergraduates.
I started college convinced I would become a lawyer. I tried several internships in the legal and political fields, but each time something was missing. My job throughout college as a Resident Assistant, in contrast, I loved. My experience pushed me to earn a master's in higher education, and I have spent the past fifteen years working as an academic advisor in various roles across the country. Supporting someone in finding their first internship, helping a student to pass a class with which they've been struggling, figuring out how to squish two majors and a study abroad into four years, these successes bring me joy. I love helping students to grow into individuals who have a deep sense of ownership over their education (inside and outside the classroom) and who understand how much they have to offer the world.
Faith received a master's in higher education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Political Science and English from Dickinson College. She started her career interning at the Attorney General of Pennsylvania’s Bureau of Consumer Protection and in the Scottish Parliament. She also spent time working as a paralegal and at a non-profit education consulting group. Her passion for supporting students led her to spend the past 15+ years working in higher education in residence life, study abroad, and academic advising. In her free time, she has volunteered with and/or been a consultant for Hyde Square Task Force, the College for Social Innovation, Boston Roller Derby, and Emerald City Roller Derby.
