Favorite part of your job: Strategic Research

What have you worked on lately that is exciting?: Developing debate prep. I was responsible for creating a comprehensive policy guide for the different areas of Framingham politics. For example, I needed to make sure Priscila understood the major issues that Framingham was facing, and what sort of policy or legislation would help to alleviate these issues. 

How did SPP prepare you for this role and career?: Debate requires knowledge of policy and a general overview of how to develop policy research. From SPP, I had a great overview of the different sectors in policy, and was able to help develop talking points for debates based on this information. 

What advice would you give to students considering a degree in public policy?: Find a way to be as involved as possible, because the only way to get into politics is to meet someone or know someone. Find ways to meet as many people as possible.

What are your future plans?: To be decided.
