John Francisco studies how students learn with a focus on how they build knowledge and reason in mathematics. His research examines the conditions and interventions that support learning mathematics in the classroom. The goal of his research is to inform teaching and learning Mathematics in secondary schools. As a PEP fellow, Dr. Francisco will share insights into best practices for teaching mathematics and preparing mathematics teachers through media interviews and policy briefs.
