Victims of terror remembered
Bells tolled off and on all day Sept. 11 as the campus community remembered the victims of the tragedy that occurred one year earlier.

Scholarship honors alumna killed at WTC
The University and its foundation have agreed to establish a memorial scholarship fund honoring the memory of alumna Jessica Leigh Sachs, '01, who died when the plane she was traveling in was flown into the World Trade Center last September.

HRTA plans program in singapore
Making use of a new online degree program, the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration is finalizing an agreement with the Singapore Hotel and Tourism Education Centre (SHATEC) of the Republic of Singapore to offer a half-online, half-classroom HRTA bachelor's degree in Singapore through Continuing Education.

Development staff changes announced
Several staffing changes have occurred in the Development Office in recent weeks.
David Markland, who formerly served as senior financial analyst in the Budget Office, is the new director of Information and Donor Services.

Wagner takes WNEC post
Richard Wagner, associate director of the Massachusetts Institute for Social and Economic Research, has been named director of the newly created office of institutional research at Western New England College.

University Club sports new web site
Information on University Club activities, menus, special events and membership benefits is now available on a new Web site, reports president Joseph S. Larson.

Part of regional teaching workshop opened to campus community
The College of Food and Natural Resources (CFNR) and the Center For Teaching are hosting a workshop, called "Teaching and Learning in an Electronic Age," Sept. 26-28 for college and university faculty and staff from the northeastern U.S.
