  Cuts threaten library budget, says director
Libraries director Margo Crist forecasted a reduced acquisitions budget for the Libraries for this fiscal year at the Faculty Senate's Oct. 18 meeting.

The Faculty Senate voted to establish an ad hoc committee on undergraduate education for a term of three years at its Oct. 18 meeting.

Medical School professor to address senate
The Faculty Senate is scheduled to hear a presentation on "Proposed Modifications to Tenure at the University of Massachusetts Medical School" by John Walsh, co-chair of the American Association of University Professors at UMass Worcester, at its Nov. 1 meeting at 3:30 in 227 Herter.

As part of an ongoing volunteer beautification project around the entrance to the Computer Science Building, four Computer Science clerks planted flower bulbs in the area Oct. 9.
