Low-Fee Psychological Assessment Program

Test sheet being completed

We have a low-fee assessment program that provides reduced cost psychological assessments to members of the campus and off-campus community who meet income eligibility criteria. Our specialized assessment clinical team can conduct full psychological assessment batteries, neuropsychological testing, learning disability assessments, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessments. We can consult with parents and schools about educational accommodations and coping with academic difficulties. Clients who are not eligible for our low-fee program still receive services at rates 40% lower than those charged in the private sector.

ADHD Assessment

The Psychological Services Center's ADHD Team provides low-cost ADHD assessment for children, adolescents, and adults.  Our multimethod assessments include thorough interviews, rating scales, and cognitive tests.  Our goal is to determine whether an individual's difficulties are consistent with ADHD or if they may be caused by other factors.  Based on our findings we provide recommendations for helping clients manage their difficulties.  Assessments take place over 1 to 2 3-hour sessions and cost $400.  Assessment results are provided in a subsequent feedback session and clients are provided with a detailed report summarizing our findings.  To schedule a phone screening to determine if the ADHD Assessment Team can help address your needs, please call 413-545-0041.

Neuropsychological Assessment

The Psychological Services Center's Neuropsychological Assessment Team provides low-cost neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.  Our assessments include interviews, rating scales, and tests looking at a variety of abilities and issues.   These may include emotional functioning, memory, attention, reasoning, verbal skills, developmental levels, visuospatial skills, and academic skills.  We use these measures and methods to clarify diagnosis and level of functioning.  Based on these finding we provide recommendations that can pertain to school, work, and/or daily functioning, depending on the referral question.  Assessment is a thorough and careful process; the client is generally seen multiple times and if the client is a child, parents are seen as well to give input.  Evaluations are charged at either $700 or $1300 for a full neuropsychological assessment based on gross yearly earnings.  Assessment results are provided in a subsequent feedback session, and clients/parents are provided with a detailed report summarizing our findings.  To schedule a phone screening to determine if the Neuropsychological Assessment Team can help address your needs, please call 413-545-0041.
