The Center for Research on Families (CRF) has partnered with the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts and the Greater Springfield Women’s Economic Security Hub (ESH) for over four years. CRF provides research capacity building, training, evaluation, and supports non-profit community partners in the Greater Springfield area in their efforts to address economic insecurity. Dr. Lorraine Cordeiro, CRF Director, highlights this work and the Center’s focus on community ambassadors in a video produced by Reflection Films with support from Open Pixel Studios in April of 2025. The video features Vanessa Pabón-Hernandez, CEO of the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts (WFWM), whose leadership in the community is highly valued. Community Ambassadors speak about their lived experiences and the amazing work they engage in to uplift the voices of communities in the Greater Springfield area.
