Rebecca Ready
Professor

The Ready Lab – Cognitive, Culture, and Emotion – is excited to be launching a program of research on cognitive and emotional skills and well-being in adults with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Studies will determine how adults with ASD think about and understand emotions. This work is an outgrowth of decades of research on cognition and emotion in older adults and in the context of neurodegenerative diseases.
The Cognitive, Culture, and Emotion Lab also engages in scholarship about training in clinical neuropsychology and assessment, as well as how culture influences brain and behavior relationships. Dr. Ready is co-editing a special issue of the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology on ‘Current Practices and Challenges in Providing Doctoral Training in Clinical Neuropsychology.’ She is launching a new study to determine the extent to which journal publications in the field of clinical neuropsychology attend to cultural influences on brain function and behavior.
