Biography
Ria Bharadwaj received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Subsequently, she earned a Master's degree in Education as a Teach for America corps member and worked as a middle school math teacher in Title I schools in New York City. She is currently a Ph.D. student in the Social Psychology program here at UMass working with Dr. Ronnie Janoff-Bulman. Her research involves exploring the social, cognitive, and moral motives of fairness and social justice, particularly social class. She has taught courses in Social Psychology and Junior Writing in Psychology, and currently serves as the Graduate Instructor for the Advancing Diversity Research and Practice (ADRAP) Program, as well as the Graduate Advisor for the Multicultural Association of Psychology Students (MAPS).
