Annual Budget Process

The Provost’s Academic Administration and Finance team can provide assistance during your department’s annual budget process as well as provide guidance in other administrative areas throughout the year. Below are several other resources you may find helpful to acquire the data and reports you need during the annual budget process.

Annual Budget Process

Each year, all units within academic affairs engage in a process to communicate their strategic goals for the year and request funding as aligned with campus strategic priorities. The annual process begins with a review of college and department priorities, updates to prior action plans, and review of various performance metrics in order to update or develop action plans and budget priorities for the following year(s).

In consultation with the departments/units, the dean composes a brief narrative incorporating the various plans within the school/college or administrative area and submits this narrative, along with the department/unit plans and requests for strategic investment funds, to the provost. Academic Analytics

Academic Analytics provides data on research productivity at the level of individual investigators, research groups, departments, colleges and the university overall. Flagship Analytics

Flagship Analytics is the university's analytics platform powered by Tableau. It is providing the university with interactive dashboads of key student data.
