Bolster innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity education and programming
- Create provost-level leadership to convene/coordinate campuswide education and academic programs for innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity (IEC) education and programs.
- Develop a strategic plan for the mission, goals, and strategies to improve education and academic programs in IEC.
- Map and effectively link all existing and emerging programs, assets, and resources including certificates (INNOVATE certificate), courses, extracurricular activities, facilities, and trainings.
- Build effective connections with faculty, students, staff, alums, community partners, and various stakeholders.
- Identify integrated pathways that address student and faculty needs—from building functional literacy to cultivating deep expertise in IEC.
- Coordinate with research and engagement activities.
- Collaborate and contribute to UMass Amherst’s economic development initiative.
