Program and Curricular Matters
UMass Amherst strives to offer the most innovative and rigorous academic programming possible for the benefit of not only our students, but also the outstanding faculty who instruct them. Below you’ll find a number of resources on creating and maintaining courses and programs that fit this vision.
The Academic Quality Assessment and Development (AQAD) process is a component of the UMass System’s Performance Measurement System and is required of all academic units. The primary purpose of the AQAD is to assess the core academic functions of teaching, learning, research/professional/creative activity, public service, and academic outreach on a regular basis.
