The Office of the Provost’s Faculty Diversity team, in collaboration with the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Assessment, Survey, and Effectiveness Research (ASER), invites all UMass Amherst faculty members involved in Classroom Equity Action Plan initiatives to an open forum on Tuesday, April 29, from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Great Hall on the second floor of Old Chapel.

Faculty members are encouraged to stop by anytime during the event to share their unique perspectives and experiences and reflect on collaborative approaches to teaching.

The forum will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear updates from other faculty members and various departments across campus regarding their progress, effective strategies and best practices. Participants will also have the chance to discuss any challenges they are facing, seek advice and get their questions answered by teams from the Faculty Diversity Team, CTL and ASER.

The goal of the Classroom Equity Action Plan initiative is to support each faculty member, department, and college in enhancing equity, belonging and connectedness in the classroom.

For more information about the Classroom Equity Action Plan or to register to attend the forum, visit the Office of the Provost website. Additional information and resources will also be shared in the Classroom Equity Action Plan TEAMS channel.
