Dennis Armistead

Dennis serves as lead representative for labor and employment matters involving graduate and post-doctoral employees and for negotiating and administering the MSP-MTA/NEA, GEO-UAW and PRO-UAW collective bargaining agreements.  He also assists with faculty and librarian employment matters. Dennis received a B.A. in journalism and political science and an M.S. in administration from Central Michigan. He also earned a J.D. from Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Prior to joining UMass, Dennis served as the senior academic human resources administrator at Central Michigan University and as a labor relations specialist with the State of Michigan, Department of Civil Service.  He also served as a graduate intern at the National Labor Relations Board, Region 7 and completed the MLE program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (2017).
