Brian Baldi
Interim Director for the Center for Teaching and Learning
Brian Baldi serves as the Interim Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. Brian leads the Lilly Fellowship for Teaching Excellence, conducts midterm assessments and teaching consultations, co-founded the Contemplative Pedagogy Working Group, and co-facilitates workshops on topics such as: assignment design, getting students to engage with course readings, wellbeing for teachers, addressing student evaluations, course design, and more. He was a co-PI on both the Mellon Mutual Mentoring Grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and a Teaching and Learning Grant from the Center for the Contemplative Mind in Society. I also served as co-chair of the University Writing Committee. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of California Berkeley, a Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Master's in Library Science from Simmons College.
