Rebecca Boudreaux, Ph.D. is President and CEO of Oberon Fuels, a renewable fuels leader decarbonizing the shipping and propane industries while enabling the hydrogen economy of the future. Under her leadership, Oberon built the world’s first commercial renewable dimethylether (DME) production plant, which can be blended with propane to dramatically reduce carbon emissions and created and scaled the market for DME to 450+ customers. Dr. Boudreaux secured partnerships and investments with industry leaders including Suburban Propane, Lipigas, DCC, Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, and Ford. As a member of Todd Emrick’s PSE research group, Dr. Boudreaux pursued her graduate studies and completed her doctorate at UMass in 2009.
