A paper entitled, "Sintering evolution monitoring of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene," was recently published by Ying Zhou*, Takuya Ohnishi and Alan Lesser* in the Journal of Polymer Science. An in-situ density evolution is developed to monitor and understand the intricate processing of UHMWPE nascent powder, including densification, melting expansion, and crystallization under pressure.
