Thomas Russell has once again been named among the world’s Highly Cited Researchers for 2025 by Clarivate Plc. He is one of six UMass Amherst researchers—spanning four academic colleges and multiple scientific disciplines—recognized for their exceptional global impact. Released on Nov. 12, Clarivate’s annual list highlights researchers whose work ranks in the top 1% of citations for their field and publication year in the Web of Science Core Collection over the past 11 years.
