The American Political Science Association awarded its 2025 George H Hallett Award to Professor Amel Ahmed for her 2012 book Democracy and the Politics of Electoral System Choice: Engineering Electoral Dominance. The George H. Hallett Award is given annually by the American Political Science Association’s Representation and Electoral Systems section for a book that has made a lasting contribution to the literature on representation and electoral systems.
