David Prouty, one of five members of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), will discuss recent NLRB decisions that arose from complaints by workers employed at Starbucks, Tesla Corp., Home Depot, and other companies. These decisions address the rights of workers to protest racial injustice at work, the Board's efforts to take timely action to prevent employers from illegally firing union organizers, and what measures the Board can take to secure the right to collective bargaining when employers engage in anti-union actions.

This talk is organized by the Labor Center and co-sponsored by Legal Studies, Political Science, the School of Public Policy, the Department of Social Thought and Political Economy, and the Department of Sociology.
