Caroline Koch Vanasse is a transportation planner at MassDOT, where she manages a range of transportation projects primarily focused on the MBTA service area. Before joining MassDOT, Caroline worked with MassINC, a non-profit think tank that supports the growth of Massachusetts’ midsized post-industrial cities and was also previously a Harvard Kennedy School Rappaport Public Policy Fellow for the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development. Caroline has a dual Master’s in Public Policy and Business Administration from the Heller School at Brandeis University. "The faculty, staff, and students I met in the political science department at UMass Amherst shaped me into the person I am today and I am honored to be able to give back by serving on the Political Science Alumni Advisory Board," she says.
