The Director of Administration and Finance partners with the Chair in the overall management of the Department, including fostering the growth and success of department research initiatives.

The Director serves as department chief of staff by providing leadership and staff management, financial oversight, faculty and graduate support, compliance with the bureaucracy and the administrative system within the university, and strategic planning and communication within the different level of leadership.
