Help Phones

There are 140+ emergency "HELP" phones located at strategic points on campus. User our interactive Campus Help Phones Map to find phone locatons. These phones are easily identified by their yellow boxes and blue light.  

  • Push the red button on the HELP phone in an emergency. 
  • When the red emergency button is pushed, the caller is immediately connected with the police emergency line campus police dispatcher.
  • The dispatcher is able to pinpoint the caller's location. 

Call the UMass Police Emergency line at (413) 545-3111 anytime. If you call 911, you will get a public safety dispatch officer. Be ready to give your exact location.
