Our Purpose
Our purpose is to help you achieve your research, teaching and learning goals in a safe and orderly environment. Further, we appreciate the importance of cultural and social growth. That is why we provide resources to support activities such as performances at the Fine Arts Center, Mullins Center events, athletic events, and cultural events.
We urge you to take advantage of our educational programs on personal safety, emergency preparedness, traffic safety, and residential hall security. We continue to host our popular programs such as the Adventure Ropes Course, Citizens Police Academy and the Active Threat Program.
Traffic safety efforts are a top priority for our agency and we are committed to aggressive and innovative traffic enforcement and safety programs. Our enforcement efforts continue to target speed, pedestrian safety, impaired driving and other behaviors that put us all at risk.
Recognizing it takes a university community to grow scholars, we believe every member of the campus community has shared accountability for the success of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As such, we are honored to participate in the academic process.
