Alice Cheung elected to National Academy of Sciences
Dr. Alice Y. Cheung a distinguished professor of Plant Biology Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she serves as a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Internationally recognized for her pioneering research on plant reproduction, Dr. Cheung integrates cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics to uncover how plants, particularly those important to our food systems, grow and reproduce. Her work has earned numerous accolades, including election to the National Academy of Sciences and honors from the American Society of Plant Biologists and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
