Priyanka's  research focuses on the functional diversity of terpene synthase (TPS) subfamilies in Medicago. By integrating transcriptomic data with metabolite profiling, she explores gene-metabolite relationships and evolutionary patterns that shape terpene biosynthesis—key metabolites involved in plant defense and ecological interactions. This work aims to deepen our understanding of legume secondary metabolism and its potential applications in agriculture and biotechnology.
