The completion of the Design Building, and subsequent relocation of the Architecture department, presented an opportunity to fully reconfigure and renovate the fourth floor “Art Bridge” of the Bromery Center for the Arts. The renovation enabled the modernization and expansion of the Art, Music, and Theater departments spaces. The orientation along the length of the bridge was also improved through the use of color and large or small-scale gathering spaces. The 646-foot long, multi-disciplinary space renovation project was funded by the UMBA.  The "Art Bridge" now includes a design studio, an extensive theater rehearsal studio, a costume shop, a music education classroom, a music seminar room, a recording studio, spaces for animation and art classes, and a computer lab. This project enhanced the integrity of the original building and created a welcoming and transformative space that increases visibility of the arts, while encouraging interaction among students and faculty.
