We are looking for an undergraduate student to serve as TA for Physics 120, Big Bang to Black Holes, for the Spring 2025 semester. Upper division physics or astrophysics major are preferred, but other STEM majors may be considered. Physics 120, Big Bang to Black Holes, is a gen-ed course, designed for non-scientists who have an interest in physics.
The job requires a 10-hour/week commitment. This will include
- attending class (MWF 1:25-2:15)
- attending a one-hour weekly TA meeting (time to be determined to fit all of the TAs schedules)
- possibly running a late-afternoon help/discussion session
- grading weekly essays or simple problems.
It can be either a paid position or it can be arranged for course credit.
